They also emphasize that the treatment should be performed in specialized centers with appropriate multidisciplinary expertise.

Further research is still needed to establish optimal treatment timing, identify the patients most likely to benefit, refine treatment protocols, and evaluate long-term outcomes.

It is also important to distinguish AHSCT from other forms of stem cell therapy. Different cellular therapies do not have the same level of clinical evidence, and their safety and effectiveness should be evaluated separately.
